NYSC Orientation Course for 2015 Batch 'A' is OUT

The NYSC schemewas created in a bid to reconstruct, reconcile and rebuild the country after the Nigerian Civil war. The unfortunate antecedents in our national history gave impetus to the establishment of the National Youth Service Corps by decree No.24 of 22nd May 1973 which stated that the NYSC is being established "with a view to the proper encouragement and development of common ties among the youths of Nigeria and the promotion of national unity".

The National Youth Service Corps Year comprises of four (4) main segments in which every Corps Members must satisfactorily participate before he/she is qualified to be issued a certificate of National Service.

The service year therefore comprises of:
*.Orientation Courses
*.Primary Assignment
*.Community Development Service
*.Winding - Up/Passing - out
All SAOs, NYSC State Secretariats and the general public are hereby informed that the 2015 Batch 'A' Orientation Course is out.

NYSC 2015 Batch 'A' Orientation Course This is to inform the general public and in particular, all prospective corps members that the NYSC 2015 Batch ‘A’ Orientation Course will commence in all NYSC Orientation camps, nationwide.
*.Commencement of Registration: Tuesday, 5th May, 2015
*.Cut-off date for Registration: 12:00 midnight Wednesday 6th May, 2015
*.Swearing-in Ceremony: Thursday 7th May, 2015
*.Official Closing Ceremony: Tuesday 25th May, 2015.

1.)However, Corps members deployed to Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, and Yobe States will be hosted in stream II and their orientation will commence on2nd June, 2015as indicated in their call-up letters.
2.)Please note that the following states Akwa Ibom, Benue, Delta, FCT, Kaduria, Lagos, Niger, and Ogun States will also host stream II 2015 Batch 'A' Orientation Course fromTuesday 2nd June to Monday 22nd June 2015.
3.)In the event of any loss of call-up letter, the Corps member should go online and re-print his/her Call-up letter.
4.)Please note that Corps members are not allowed to bring any automobile or pets to the orientation camp.

Requirements for Registration
*.Call-up letter
*.Original Statement of Result endorsed by an authorized officer with authentic signature.
*.School identity card including travelling Passport for Foreign trained graduates.
*.Medical Doctors, Pharmacists and Optometrists as well as Dentists are to produce evidence of completion of
*.Housemanship/Internship and evidence of registration with their Professional Bodies (Payment Receipts will not be accepted).
