Abuja airport records over. 5m passengers, 9,428 aircraft flow in 2 month

Abuja – The Nnamdi Azikiwe
International Airport, Abuja
handled 595, 552 passengers
and 9,428 aircraft flow from
January to February.
This was contained in the Traffic
Analysis Report signed by Mr
Danmusa Jibiril, Head of
Operations Department, Federal
Airport Authority of Nigeria
(FAAN), Nnamdi Azikiwe
International Airport.
The report stated that for
scheduled domestic passengers
flow in January, the airport
recorded 115,793 arrivals at the
airport while 102,508
passengers departed.

According to the report, the
figures represent a total of
218,301 passengers for the
month.
It stated that 111,284
passengers arrived at the airport
in February and 115,359
departed making a total number
of 226,642 passengers for that
month.

The report said that for non-
scheduled domestic passengers
flow in January, 3,041
passengers arrived in the airport
and 2,770 departed, making a
total of 5,817 passengers for the
month.
According to the report, for
February, 3, 864 passengers
arrived in the airport and 3,608
departed making a total of 7,472
passengers.

The report stated that for
scheduled international
passenger flow in January, the
airport recorded 40,308 arrivals
while 37,548 departed making a
total of 77,856 passengers.
It added that for scheduled
international passengers flow in
February, 28,418 passengers
arrived in the airport and 27,200
departed making a total of
55,618 passengers.

The report also said that for non-
scheduled international
passengers in January, the
airport recorded 1,024 arrivals
and 609 departed making a total
of 1,633 passengers.
According to the report, 1,107
passengers arrived in the airport
in February and 1,105 departed
making a total of 2,212
passengers.

"The total passengers movement
for January both scheduled and
non-scheduled and domestic and
international is 303,607 and for
February is 291,945 making a
total of 595,552 passengers for
both months,'' report said.

Speaking on aircraft, the report
said that for domestic scheduled
aircraft in January 1,397 aircraft
arrived in the airport and 1,397
departed making a total of 2,794
aircraft.
For February, the report said
1,428 aircraft arrived in the
airport and 1,428 departed
making a total of 2,856 aircraft.

Report said that for non-
scheduled domestic aircraft in
January, 498 aircraft arrived in
the airport and 498 departed
making a total of 996 aircraft.
For February, 551 aircraft arrived
the airport and 551 departed
making a total of 1,102 aircraft.

The report said that for
international scheduled aircraft
in January, 307 arrived and 307
departed making a total of 614
aircraft.
For February, 248 aircraft arrived
in the airport and 248 departed
making a total of 498 aircraft.

The report added that for non-
scheduled international aircraft
in January, 56 arrived and 56
departed making total of 112
aircraft.
For February, 129 aircraft arrived
the airport and 129 departed
making total of 258 aircraft.
" The total aircraft for January,
both scheduled and non-
scheduled domestic and
international, is 4,716 aircraft
and for February, 4,712, making
a total of 9, 428 aircraft for both
months,'' the report said. (NAN)
