AGF commends staff enthusiasm, dedication to duty

The Accountant-General of the
Federation, Jonah O. Otunla in a
gathering with staff, described
as 'Village Meeting' organized to
welcome the newly elected
executives of the Association of
Senior Civil servants of Nigeria
(ASCSN), OAGF chapter has
expressed commendation for
their patience, enthusiasm and
dedication to duty.

Jonah O. Otunla assured them of
his continual support in all staff
matters; saying he is committed
to making sure that the different
reform programmes initiated by
the Office are implemented in
line with the Federal
Government's Transformation
Agenda.

The Joint Union Council
Chairman, who is also the
Chairman of NCSU in the OAGF
Chapter, Orisha (Comrade) in his
response to the AGF's speech
thanked the AGF for providing a
conducive atmosphere for free
and fair election and equally
solicited his support on issues
such as staff training, staffing
and funding of staff clinic and
maintenance of the amenities
within the office complex as well
as constant payment of
Commissionaires to curb them
from indulging in nefarious
activities.

While delivering his remarks at
the occasion, the newly elected
Chairman of the OAGF Chapter of
the Senior Civil Servants of
Nigeria, Edwin Onoja pledged
that team work and cordial
working environments would be
ensured. She called on the AGF to
make residential accommodation
available for staff living in the
densely populated areas of the
FCT.

During the question and answer
session, Jonah Otunla responded
to most of the staff requests in
the affirmative, thanking them
for their understanding and
maturity. He urged all staff to be
security conscious and
encouraged them to promote
hygienic conditions in view of
the Ebola virus disease outbreak.
