clinical disciplines of Anatomy,
Physiology and Biochemistry of
the University.

A) Anatomy/Physiology
Qualification:
a) Professor: (CONUASS 7)
Candidates are required to
possess from a recognized
University, a Doctor of
Philosophy (PhD) degree in the
relevant specialty. Candidates
will be required to have at least
ten (10) years post qualification
experience in teaching and
research in universities or
similar institutions of higher
learning and will be required to
show demonstrable ability to
initiate, develop and supervise
research projects Additionally,
candidates will be required to
show evidence of Scholarly
Publications in reputable
Journals and a capacity for
strong academic leadership.
A degree in Medicine,
registration with Medical and
Dental Council of Nigeria will be
an added advantage.
b) Readers/Associate Professor:
(CONUASS 6)
The requirements are as in
above except that candidates
will be required to have eight
(8) years post qualification
experience
c) Senior Lecturers: (CONUASS 5)
The qualifications are as in
above, candidates will however
be required to have at least five
(5) years post qualification
experience.
Candidates will be required to
show evidence of good
Scholarly Publications in
reputable Journals.
d) Lecturer 1: (CONUASS 4)
Candidates must possess from
recognized University a Doctor
of Philosophy (PhD) degree in
the relevant or specialized area,
Candidates will also be required
to have three (3) years post
qualification experience.
Evidence of Scholarly
Publications in reputable
Journals will be an advantage.
e) Lecturer II: (CONUASS 3)
Candidates must possess from
recognized University a Doctor
of Philosophy (PhD) degree in
the relevant or specialized area.
B) Biochemistry
Qualification:
a) Professors: (CONUASS 7)
Candidates must posses a
Doctor of Philosophy degree in
the relevant or specialized area
with at least ten (10) years post
qualification experience in
teaching and research in
Universities or similar
institutions of higher learning.
Candidates will be required to
show demonstrable ability to
initiate, develop and supervise
research projects.
Additionally, candidates must
show evidence of Scholarly
Publications in reputable
Journals and a capacity for
strong academic leadership.
b) Readers/Associate Professor:
(CONUASS 6)
The requirements are as in
above except that candidates
will be required to have at least
eight (8) years post qualification
experience.
c) Senior Lecturers: (CONUASS 5)
Academic qualifications are as
in above except that the
candidate will be required to
have at least five (5) years post
qualification experience.
Candidates must show evidence
of Scholarly Publications in
reputable Journals.
d) Lecturer 1: (CONUASS4)
Candidates must have a PhD
degree in the relevant field or
specialized area. Candidates will
be required to have at least
three (3) years post
qualification experience.
Proof of Scholarly Publications
in reputable Journal will be an
advantage.
e) Lecturer II: (CONUASS 3)
Candidates must have a PhD
degree in relevant or specialized
area plus one year relevant
teaching or research
experience.
