NEMA donated drugs and other medical items to NYSC

The National Emergency
Management Agency (NEMA)
has donated drugs and other
medical related items to the
National Youth Service Corps
(NYSC) as part of the Agency's
pledge for its continuous
support and collaboration with
the NYSC scheme.

The medical items which was
donated to the NYSC
orientation camp in Kaduna
consists of 2 cartons each50 of
Hydrocortisone and
Aminopylline x 50 vials
injections, Prednisolone Tabs x
100 Tabs, Tuxil N Syrup (Adult)
Tabs, Tuxil D Syrup (Adult),
Salbutamol Tab x 100 Tabs and
Salbutamol Inhaler and other
medical consumables.

The NEMA North West Heads of
Administration, Hajia Amina
Ahman and that of the
Planning, Research and
Forecasting, Hajia Zaynab Saidu
presented the drugs to the
NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs
Victoria Ango and the Camp
Director, Mr. Henry Kolo JP at
the NYSC Orientation Camp,
Black Gold, KM 13 Kaduna-
Abuja Express Road
In order to maintain its
assigned responsibilities of
managing disaster in Nigeria,
the agency over a decade has
been partnering with the NYSC
through the NEMA/NYSC
Emergency Management
Vanguards (EMV) using NYSC
corps members as vanguards
for a uniform proactive
disaster management.

The NEMA/NYSC EMV Project
under the tutelage of the
agency is designed to offer
corps members during their
service year the opportunity to
provide their services in
organized, prompt and
responsive ways to disaster
incidents in the communities
posted for primary assignment.
