The Abia State Government has concluded arrangements to sponsor a 40-man delegation of the Abia State business community to a trade mission in Turkey. The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Abia State, Chijioke Nwakodo disclosed this lately in a discussion with a 7-man team of investors from Turkey in his office.
He said that the government would be interested in equipping the leather and garment manufacturers with the necessary exposures that would enhance the industry, assuring the investors the State Government's readiness to partner with them towards developing an industrial city and Diaspora village in leather and garment.
Earlier in his speech, the leader of the delegation from Turkey, Abdullah Basci, who is the Chairman of Konsaid-Konya Businessmen and Industrialists Association, Turkey said that they were in the State to interact with the Abia Trade Mission Delegates to Turkey and identify their areas of business concern before their arrival in Turkey.
He also expressed their readiness to invest in Abia in the areas of developing an industrial city as well as leather and garment industries.
In the highlight of the visit, there was an interaction between the Turkish group and the Abia business community as well as a meeting with the private-public partnership and investment promotions team of the government
