The Special Adviser to the President Muhammadu Buhari on social protection plan, Mrs. Maryam Uwais, Stated that every thing is now in state government hands and they have to take ownership. She said the Federal govt can't stop the State from conducting aptitude test. The States need to verify selected applicants and if the want to do a test, they only want to authenticate that the applicants actually own these certificate and that they actually live in the vicinity where they say they live.
According to her, the money Federal govt are paying Npower volunteers is not enough for accommodation and is not enough for transportaition, it is for the State to deploy them to where they are going to work.
