Majekodunmi Fasheke, popularly known as Majek Fashek, is a Nigerian reggae singer-songwriter and guitaristmm In his homeland he is best known for the 1988 album Prisoner of Conscience which included the single "Send Down the Rain", winning him several awards. Also known as The Rainmaker!“ he has also worked with various artists worldwide including Tracy Chapman, Jimmy Cliff, Michael Jackson and Beyoncé
According to Majek Fashek his problem started when he brought his wife who had 3kids with him to USA. She became uncontrollable and started misbehaving. He said his wife disappointed him and broke his heart. When he was a big heat in America and he became depress.
Majek Fashek said he had never used drugs and his manager also attested that Majek only took weed, that Majek Fashek problem is a spiritual one. He further said that Nigerians should watch out for the full documentary " Untold story of Majek Fashek" how everything started which will be released soon.
Majek Fashek stated that foreign community appreciate Nigerian artiste more than Nigerians. He also jokily reveals at the end of the interview that in the near future he will be Nigeria President and his Manager will be his chief of staff.
