Federal government to recruit 100,000 Agriculture Extension workers out of the 500,000 that register for the Npower teach programme of the government social innitiative programme .
Vice president Osinbajo make the statement during the official launch and public presentation of Agriculture Promoting Policy Tags: "The great alternative" in Abuja.
According to him the number of persons to be trained will be from the 500,000 teachers currently been recruited by the federal government. The vice president proceed said it has major hindrance to the development of Agriculture if finance were double digit interest rate charge on loan is nearly impossible for any farmer to use.
The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Audu Ogbeh said a key of the Agriculture pomotion policy 2016 to 2020 is aimed at doubling Agricultural housewhole income in 6 to 12 years.
