Nearly every fifth African is Nigerian and they are happy and fun loving people.
1. Mordern day Nigeria has been the site of numerous kingdom and tribal state for millennia.

2. Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa and the seventh most populous country in the world.

3. Nigeria is a Multinational state, as it is inhabitated by over 500 ethnic groups of which the three largest are the Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba.

4. Nigeria is the largest economy in Africa worth more than $500 billion and $1 trillion in terms of nominal GDP and purchasing power parity respectively.

5. Nigeria is considered to be a middle power in the world and has also been identified as an emerging power.

6. Nigeria North East of the Country has been sectarian violence by Boko Haram

7. Nigeria Comprises 36 state and the federal capital territory where the capital, Abuja is located. 8. Nigeria became a formally independent federation in 1960 and became Republic in 1963.

9. Nigeria fought civil war for 3yrears from 1967-1970, it has since alternated between democratically elected civilian governments and military dictatorships.

10. 2011 presidential elections being viewed as the first to be conducted reasonably free and fairly.
