Zaria Bomb Blast: NEMA demands blood donation to help victims

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has called on the public to help donate blood towards the treatment of the Zaria bomb blast victims, who have been evacuated to the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) in Shika.

The Director – General of NEMA, Muhammad Sani Sidi in making the call said that the request was urgent, in order to help in reviving the wounded that have lost much blood in the attack. He also expressed appreciation for the quick response to the need for evacuation of the victims; assuring immediate support from NEMA in the deployment of medical consumables and drugs for their treatment in the hospital.

Muhammad Sani Sidi informed that 26 lives have been lost; while 33 were injured in the explosion that occurred at the premises of Sabon – Gari Local Government Secretariat located in Zaria on Tuesday morning of July 7, 2015
